In the past she was buying shoes from a second hand market and selling these at the bus stand in town. All her business items were stolen and she had to stop her business. At present she is doing various businesses. She is making her own hats and sells these in different curio shops, this business often causes her problems because the shops often buys her products on credit, not paying or taking a long time. She also helps a woman selling shoes and receives a small profit from this. She earns around 2000 TSH (less then 2 USD) per pair of shoes that she sells; often she sells one or two pairs. Her wish for the future is to walk around town and sell different products depending on the specific season. A loan from us would allow her to expand her capital into different items.
