The woman is 50 years old with various business experiences from the past. She has worked for a Tanzanian tourist company, worked with merchandise of different products such as fabric and second hand clothes, and for a while she also kept chickens. Because of family problems she is at present not conducting any business. She has three grown up children, one of these are staying in her house with a child and could help her when starting a new business. The woman’s second child is with a 28 year old man staying in a town around five hours from her. His wife died a year ago and because of financial problems he left his two children with Frida. Eventually this caused her business to collapse because of increased expenses and not knowing how to handle these. She is staying in a small rundown house which she rents and has a lot of debts. She has shown great enthusiasm in the training. He refuses to disclose her HIV status but her 28 year old partner is positive and that is why his wife died.
